This couldnt wait for January either...

I almost doubled over when I read this:

It is now obvious that the climate is changing, because the ice takes a long time to freeze and the sun rises from a different direction these days. I always use the sun as a guide, so I have noticed the difference.

Yeah because the sun used to rise in the north and set in the south, and global warming has changed the earth's rotation to make the sun rise in the east and set in the west....DAMN YOU POLLUTERS!

Month Long Rant

Here is the deal, starting January 1, 2006 I will post EVERY DAY a new post about some eco-terror and debunk it for you. I will give you a minor preview today. This will be in addition to other little tidbits that I run accross, but I feel that in the COLDEST WINTER SINCE THE 1800's, I need to fight these global warming morons.

Now today let us look at global warming as an issue. Now, there is something to be said about companies that dump sludge and known harmful chemicals into the air, but a company burning coal, oil or other resource as such is not killing you. In fact according to the former chairmen of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Bert Bolin, those clouds of "pollutants" actually prevent the sun from putting heat into the atmosphere. Now correct me if I am wrong (I am not, but I should always preface these kind of things), but isn't coal carbon that has been supercompressed? So when you burn coal it released the carbon back into the atmosphere as a cloud of smoke. There is carbon in those clouds. So the UN's own IPCC is saying that even though carbon is trapping heat in the atmosphere and causing a "greenhouse effect" it is also blocking the sun.

Am I the only one who sees the stupidity in this statement?

Fun With Who?

Fun With Dick and Jane started last week and since I am a huge Jim Carrey fan, I needed to go see it.

As far as a film goes, it was pretty good. Things in it that only Jim could perform and make you laugh at. A must see while in theaters

What should the Police be doing?

A couple weeks ago, as I pull into Chipotle to pick up some food on the way home, what greets me as I get out of my car but a squad carwith it's lights on. A cop gets out and gives me a warning for expired tabs. Oops, my bad. However also in the warning she notes that my license isn't registered to my new address (it was in fact 2 previous addresses, but I didnt tell her that) and I didn't have a proof of insurance with me. Now let me state emphatically here that I havent carried insurance in 3 years. Mostly because the cost is ridiculous, but also because I am an overly cautious driver. I dont get into accidents, in fact I have even avoided accidents that other people would have caused by hitting me. I am a DAMN good driver. I also dont care for the government to keep tabs on my residence. If they dont like that my residency is old on my license, they can really kiss my ass. I have no reason to pay them $20 a year to get a new license if I move then every 5 or so years another $40 for a renewal. I'll change my license when you take that 35% of my wages and apply it to you "fees". Tabs are a waste of time and money, simply a luxury tax hidden into purchasing a car when it is almost essential to own one in these times.

Alrighty whatever, I get insurance that night, I get tabs and change my license earlier this week and I go to the police station to clear the warning. The gal grabs all my stuff, signs off on everything without checking deeper into it, but tells me that I need to put my tabs on in front of an officer. OK, whatever. I wait as she gets the officer and it is the same one who pulled me over, great we can get this done and over with. She tells me she needs to make a copy of my insurance card....I give it over and she goes back inside. About 25 minutes later she comes out and says "You're lucky it's Christmas" and proceeds to tell me that since I got insurance after I should have my license revoked and a fine and blah blah blah....But she's going to let me off. Then closes with the mafioso warning "I know what car you drive and I know where you live, so if I see you you better still have insurance."

I almost punched her square in the nose. If she pulls me over to FIND something wrong, I will drive off on her, no question. But then telling me she knows where I live almost cut it. This is a cop in another city, who followed me for over a mile into a different city without lights on or anything to pull me over. I doubt she'll ever read this, but if she does, I want her to know that she can burn in hell.

Now, there are several lessons we shall learn here today now that I have shared that background. First, the government should not be asserting anywhere a private enterprise as a mandated service. It is not mandated that you have water, electricity, phone or homeowners insurance. It is not mandated that bikers, pedestrians, gun owners, boats, planes, or trains have insurance. So why is it on cars? Why are we allowed to assume risk on those other popular transportation forms and not on others? If I chose to carry insurance, that's fine, but to mandate it is something that is criminal. We take risks in our every day lives, why is it that we are forced to not assume risk for cars. If everyone who drove and got into accidents had to pay for their own faults, there would be a lot less drivers and a lot less accidents.

Seat belt laws also irk me. Again, I have to wear something because you think it's good for me, but then turn around and REVOKE HELMET LAWS ACCROSS THE NATION FOR MOTORCYCLES!? Give me a break.

Anyways, this is a long rant about a mafia police officer and their insistance that instead of solving a murder case, or stopping some sort of actual crime against a person, they are better off collecting revenue from a taxpayer. Take for instance the fact that their rape rate is higher than the national average... Instead of preventing some sick twisted asshole from forcing themselves onto an innocent, lets try to collect $200 in fines from people!

New Hope PIGS (and yes you are pigs), get out there and prevent some actual crime. Your job is to SERVE AND PROTECT, not to harass and collect. Got it? Good.

My first drudge story!

Drudge linked to this story today about a half hour after I sent him a link to the story with a quick synopsis. I am so moved that I made the front page of drudge, although I think drudge would have found this and posted it anyways seeing as he is a big p2p advocate.

Thanks Matt!

Unions Continued

Reports today say that New York transit union leaders now are being sought for jail. Time to put this puppy down!
|

Why I dont like New York

Alright, no one hates New York more than me. Seriously. I have never been there and I hope to visit every other area in the world, but New York is once place I do not ever want to go to. Case in point is the snobs that work the transit union going on strike. UPS pilots even decided against going on strike sortly before the Christmas shipping season in a sense of decency. Of course the fair New Yorkers decided to go on strike.

Rightfully so a judge slapped a 1 million dollar a day fine against these bastards and is enforcing a 2 day no-pay clause in the city laws. Also each picketing transit employee is subject to jail time.

This affirms my belief that no union, anywhere in this nation, is currently serving the needs of the people they claim to represent, the needs of the consumer they pretend to "protect" and is a clear agent of anti-capitalism.

Somehow, the NYT misses the point.....again

The New York Times is reporting that wire taps on international calls and email were conducted by the government through presidential order afte Sept 11th. Ranting and raving about warantless watching of suspected terrorists is some sort of national crisis. Somehow watching international emails and phone calls is somehow a terrible thing. God forbid we stop more Americans from dying at the hands of terrorist swine.

Anyone remember their history? What happened in the 20's 30's and 40's in American politics? We went into closed mode, focusing only on ourselves and ignoring the rest of the world and the problems that were rising everywhere. What happened then? Well the Japenese got a sneak attack in on us and most of Europe was under German control. Now the democrats want to take us back to the times of seclusion and ignoring the rest of the world so more Americans can die in sneak attacks again. Shame on you Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton......Shame on you all

I promised Purple

And I shall provide:
|

The coming of the Purple

No, I am not talking about the Vikings or the next berkeley pride parade but the Iraqi election fingers. The Iraqi election will be even more successful than the p revious one as everyone knows the people want to become a democracy. I am happy, however one of my co-workers grabbed my attention today and while I didn't have time to try to talk sense into him, I got the jist of his premise.

His premise? Americans sacraficed is just too many. Now I cant fault him because I agree, too many Americans have died, but they died for a cause that is needed. He also insisted that we need to send a message to the people that if any more serivce men die, we are going to pull them all. While this is a great message and threat to get more people to turn them in, I made the analogy to the mob. The choice is to tell on the terrorists and your family dies, a gruesome death, or your family lives and the country falls back into a facist state. Given the options, I would prefer to have my family.

Aside from that, we need a stable Iraq regardless of the cost. casualties are dropping and a revolution of freedom is sweeping a region that has never seen the ability to govern themselves. This is an option we cant lose.

Too Much

It doesnt show up so well all compressed so just click on it for a nice big view on a white background

|

Oh ho ho ho.....

70% some percent of Iraqi's think things are going well, thats a higher percentage than Americans who think things are going well over there. What does this mean? Iraqi's dont get the New York Times.

Hat tip, Jay Leno.

Syriana, a review

Alright, I gave in and saw Syriana. Amazingly the politics was fairly well kept out of the movie directly. I was surprised at how head on the whole thing was. It quite accurately described my feelings on the international mergers, buy outs, oil wells and what not. The rules are set up so as to hurt ourselves even though we dont want that. So we take a blind eye to the rest of the world while pretending to do something. We sacrafice a few people in a corporation to push through something that will benefit us. The one part I do disagree with in the movie though is that the US propped up a man who would be a dictator rather than the son who wanted to free the people. The choice was a free country and oil to the highest bidder, who happened to be China, or oil for us and a dictatorial state. I am quite sure, especially since we get no oil from the middle east countries like Saudi Arabia, that we would prop a democracy who would then be a little more loyal to us in the end.

All in all a good movie, more worth renting or going to the dollar theater when it moves there.

Surprise surprise...

Daniel Inouye [D-Hi] is attacking the president over the new ad running on the GOP's website claiming that it "is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American people from the problems in Iraq" oh but never mind that we democrats arent facing the reality of the progress in Iraq. He then proceeds to talk about how it will hurt the troops, since his parties endorsment of an unwinnable war wont hurt the troops......Right....

Just so you know...

AIDS is a big lie.....

Of Course AIDS is caused by "poverty, lifestyle, environmental degradation, and oppression" and "The concept of AIDS was invented a way of pathologizing all the people and behaviors that rich, straight, white, religious, right-wing males find objectionable."

Liberalism at its' best.

Wait, I thought BUSH was the NAZI???

I spent some time humoring myself over at http://www.zombietime.com/ and I noticed a recurring theme. People kept inplying Bush as a Nazi while at the same time holding anti-Jew signs.

Can someone explain to me why liberals hate the Jews and yet can accuse Bush of being Hitler?

More idiots at NWA

Northwest Airlines unions held a rally today to demand increases in pay/benefits/jobs etc. Yes, if the company just declared bankruptcy I am sure they have billions of dollars to spend on you guys.

Unions were a great thing many years ago, they have since turned into a mob like organization paralyzing businesses into submission. Here's a news flash for you union morons, if the company goes out of business because of your greedy demands YOU WILL LOSE YOUR JOB. Would you rather make 100k a year for 3 months and then be unemployed, or make 40k a year and have a steady job at a company that will be around for years to come? If you answered 100k, please leave your name and address so I can come beat some sense into you.

Duh.....

After blogger denying me access for a couple days, I am finally able to post again.

Today I will address the retard who said he had a bomb and refused to obey the instructions given to him by federal air marshalls. He reached into his bag after being told to get on the floor. What would you do? Holster your gun and say "He's harmless"? No, shoot him until he stops moving. Period.

You ALWAYS comply with law officers regardless of if you think you are wrong or not. I have been there and you just do what they tell you and it works out.

Idiocy in Action

Fullerton, Kalifornia.

A school district is trying to get every child a laptop computer...

"I like having a laptop in the classroom, it makes learning funner" - Girl interviewed on NBC Nightly News.

Yeah, maybe rather than spending a grand on a computer, let us get her an english tutor!

"The constitution is pretty clear that the government is required to teach my children..." -Mother interviewed on NBC Nightly News.

The constitution mentions nothing about education, maybe you should get a tutor too.....But I really dont expect that much from Kalifornians

Jeff Johnson

Yeserday I was able to listen to representative Jeff Johnson speak about his upcoming race to become the Attorney General of Minnesota. I have added his link to the side and I hope that you all support him as the alternative is a liberal who has already promised to continue generating lawsuits agaisnt companies who have done nothing wrong.

New rant, kind of

Foamy has a new rant, if you havent seen Foamy he is the grey squirrel on the right side of the blog here. Its about Christmas, go watch it cause it captures life.
|

A Hypothetical situation.....

Pure speculation here, I DO NOT represent these views, but I always wonder if people who say "I support the troops but I oppose the war" also say:

I support the Taliban, but I oppose their totalitarian regime.

I support Al Qaeda, but I oppose their terrorist acts.

I support the KKK, but I oppose their views.

Maybe these people haven't linked up the 2, but soldiers and war are linked in a special bond, one does not exist without the other. If there was no war there would be NO SOLDIERS. You cannot seperate the soldier from the field they fight on and if you want to be a true asshole and pretend to like those who fight so valiantly for something you so despise, then maybe you should stop insulting their intelligence.
